ABMC hosted a ceremony at ABMC’s Honolulu Memorial to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Tarawa and to rededicate the memorial, which recently underwent a significant restoration project.

Participants in the event included representatives from ABMC, the National Cemetery Administration, and the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.

Following the ceremony, the families of recently identified MIA’s from Tarawa had the opportunity to install an ABMC rosette next to the name of their family member listed in the Courts of the Missing at the memorial.
