Cambridge American Cemetery in conjunction with RAF Lakenheath hosted a wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. to coincide with Wreaths Across America.

The wreath laying ceremony, which was held at the flagpole, included remarks and the laying of seven wreaths:

The United States of America
POW – MIA
U.S. Army
U.S. Coast Guard
U.S. Air Force
U.S. Marine Corps
U.S. Navy

After the ceremony, 300 wreaths were laid at headstones in the cemetery. The community at RAF Lakenheath, organized by SSgt. Jason Hannen and TSgt. William Wood, was responsible for raising the funds to purchase these wreaths.

Every December Wreaths Across America works to place holiday wreaths at every headstone in Arlington National Cemetery, and veterans cemeteries throughout the country as a way to remember those who have served our country.
