Lieutenant Clark, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Attack Squadron 115, Carrier Air Wing 11 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS CORAL SEA (CVA-43). On October 24, 1967, he was flying in a McDonnell Douglas Phantom II Fighter (F-4B) over Hanoi, Haiphong and Vinh Pjuc region of North Vietnam when he was declared Missing in Action. His remains have been recovered and identified. LT Clark's name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
