Lieutenant Clark, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Attack Squadron 115, Carrier Air Wing 5 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS MIDWAY (CVA-41). On January 10, 1973, he was the bombardier/navigator of a Grumman Attack Aircraft Intruder (A-6A) flying 20 miles west of Phu Dien Chau, Nghe An Province, North Vietnam when his aircraft crashed. His remains were recovered on August 4, 1993 and identified on August 22, 2003. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
