Master Sergeant Reardon was a member of the 17th Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in North Korea on May 28, 1951 and returned to duty on June 9, 1951. He was Killed in Action while demolishing a bridge to block the enemy's advance in North Korea on September 2, 1951.
