Master Sergeant Rodriguez was a member of the 187th Airborne Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was seriously wounded by an enemy missile in South Korea on September 27, 1950 and was evacuated to the U.S. on October 21, 1950. He returned to the 187th and was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on May 28, 1951.
