Notes
Master Sergeant Turner was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on August 14, 1950 and returned to duty on September 7, 1950. He was Killed In Action during an attack near Sesim-ni, South Korea on February 4, 1951. During this battle, he singlehandedly killed over 25 of the enemy.
