Private First Class Babicz was a member of Company B, 84th Engineer Construction Battalion. On August 24, 1951, he was working on a partially constructed bridge at Sarang-ni, Korea, when a flash flood occurred. He was drowned while trying to rescue his comrades stranded in the river. |
