Captain Henry was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he commanded Company F, 2nd Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. On September 1, 1950 near Am-Dong, South Korea, he singlehandedly held off the enemy to permit his platoon to withdraw to safety. He was listed as Missing in Action and presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
