Lieutenant Colonel Hill was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Headquarters Company, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously Wounded in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 1, 1950 and died of those wounds on December 15, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
