Sergeant Basham was a member of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. On July 8, 1953, he was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy about a half mile north of the demilitarized zone (DMZ) in North Korea. He was presumed dead on July 9, 1954. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
