First Lieutenant Adams was a member of Company G, 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy along the Chongchon River in North Korea on November 28, 1950. He died in a North Korean prison camp from malnutrition and exposure on May 31, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
