Sergeant First Class Blain was a member of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. After delivering supplies to the front line on October 14, 1950, his convoy was ambushed and he was wounded. All thirteen men in his convoy were taken prisoners. That evening they were executed near Kaesong, North Korea. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
