Sergeant Stadler was a light weapons infantryman with Company C, 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action when his company was overrun by Chinese forces north of Unsan, North Korea on November 2, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
