First Lieutenant Tyndall was a member of Company A, 2nd Chemical Mortar Battalion, U.S. Army. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Kunari, North Korea on November 26, 1950 and died while a prisoner on January 16, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
