Corporal Wasinger was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Unsan, North Korea on November 2, 1950 and was killed by a guard on November 7, 1950. His remains were recovered on October 5, 2001 and was identified on February 7, 2006. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
