Corporal Wells was a member of Company C, 65th Engineer Combat Battalion, 25th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 27, 1950. He was presumed dead on March 18, 1954. His remains have been recovered and identified. CPL Wells' name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
