Sergeant First Class Wise was a member of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Company, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded and taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 28, 1950. He died of those wounds while a prisoner on January 17, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
