While occupying Hill 1051, South Korea on May 17, 1951, his company was surrounded by overwhelming enemy forces. He was listed as Missing in Action on May 18, 1951 and presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
