Sergeant Crawford was a Light Weapons Infantryman with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in Korea on September 23, 1950 and returned to duty on September 27, 1950. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 28, 1950 and was killed by a guard on December 3, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
