Corporal De Long was a member of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously Wounded in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on May 18, 1951 and died of those wounds on May 29, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
