Private Balthazor was a rifleman with the 3rd Squad, 3rd Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 224th Infantry Regiment, 40th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while in his foxhole defending his position at "Sandbag Castle" located between "Heartbreak Ridge" and the "Punchbowl" in North Korea at 9:40 p.m. on November 3, 1952. An enemy 82mm mortar exploded next to him, killing him instantly. |
