Sergeant Barnes was a member of the 518th Signal Company (Radio Relay). He was stricken with toxic nephritis with uremia and suffer gastrointestinal hemorrhage and taken to the hospital ship USS CONSOLATION (AH-15) where he died on February 26, 1951. |
