Private First Class Bauman was a member of Company L, 3rd Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. On March 11, 1951, he was attacking enemy held positions near Chaejae, South Korea when he was seriously wounded by enemy small arms fire and died of those wounds later that day. |
