Private First Class Bergeron was a member of the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy during the first major attack of the war across the Naktong River south of Taegu, South Korea on September 16, 1950 and died of those wounds on later that day. |
