Private First Class Wiegel was a member of the 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was seriously wounded while fighting the enemy in South Korea on September 8, 1950 and returned to duty on September 15, 1950. He was seriously wounded again on September 21, 1950 and died of those wounds later that day. |
