Corporal Witt was a member of the 77th Engineer Combat Company, 25th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on September 13, 1950 and returned to duty on September 19, 1950. He was seriously wounded again while fighting the enemy in South Korea on April 25, 1951 and died of those wounds on May 5, 1951. |
