First Lieutenant Wood was a member of the 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on May 26, 1951 and returned to duty on June 12, 1951. He was seriously wounded again on July 14, 1951 and died of those wounds on July 16, 1951. |
