Private First Class Waring was a member of Battery B, 235th Field Artillery Observation Battalion, U.S. Army. He tried to leap over a container of burning gasoline blocking the entrance to his bunker, but tripped and was severely burned. He was taken to the 11th Evacuation Hospital where he died on April 8, 1953. |
