Sergeant Alexander was a member of the 8247th Port Agency, U.S. Army. On June 3, 1951, he was a passenger on a C-119B "Flying Boxcar" transport from the 61st Troop Carrier Squadron, 314th Troop Carrier Group. As the aircraft flew over Inje, Korea, it was struck by friendly artillery fire and crashed two miles northeast of Inje, North Korea killing four on board. |
