Master Sergeant Caperton was a member of the 15th Anti-Aircraft Artillery (Automatic Weapons) Battalion, 7th Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea on November 27, 1950 and died while a prisoner on December 26, 1951. |
