Private First Class Allen was a member of the 55th Military Police Company, Headquarters, Kobe Base, Far East Command. On August 2, 1950 in the Naktong Bulge, South Korea, his unit came under attack. He took a wounded comrade's gun and fired at the enemy until his ammunition was exhausted and he was mortally wounded. |
