Private First Class Amaker was a member of the 503rd Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. On February 12, 1951, the Chinese launched a massive attack against the 2nd Infantry Division in the vicinity of Hoensong, South Korea. While fighting to protect the withdrawal of elements of the division, Private First Class Amaker was Killed in Action. |
