Master Sergeant Edwards was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Merchant Marine. In Korea, he was a member of the 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in North Korea on August 28, 1951 and returned to duty on October 8, 1951. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 17, 1951. |
