Ensign Paris was a pilot of a F4U-4 Corsair fighter with the Fighter Squadron 193 aboard the aircraft carrier USS PRINCETON (CV-37). On December 15, 1950, while on a combat mission over Yonpo Airfield three miles south of Koto-ri, Korea, his aircraft received a direct hit by anti-aircraft fire, crashed and disintegrated. |
