Radioman Third Class Logwood was a member of reserve Patrol Squadron 741 called to active duty at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. On June 14, 1951, he was a crew member of a PBY twin engine Catalina on a training mission. The aircraft caught fire and made a forced landing in a wooded area near Green Cove Springs, Florida killing seven crewmen. |
