Commander Seeboth was a veteran of World War II. During the Korean War, he was a was a member of the Civil Engineer Corps, U.S. Navy. On November 22, 1952, he was a passenger on a C-124 Globemaster Transport flying from Mc Cord Air Force Base, Washington to Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. The plane crashed near Anchorage, Alaska killing all fifty-two on board.
