Aviation Machinist's Mate Third Class Harrington was a crew member of a PBM-5S Mariner patrol bomber with Patrol Squadron 34, based at Naval Air Station Coco Solo, Panama. On March 22, 1953, the aircraft was enroute from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Trinidad during Amphibious Exercise II, when it crashed killing 11 Crewmen. |
