Sergeant Miller was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a machine gun squad leader with Company B, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy at "Horseshoe Ridge", north of Chunchon, South Korea, near the 38th Parallel on April 24, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
