Captain Morin was a pilot of a L-19A Bird Dog observation aircraft with the Army and Navy Gunfire Liaison Company, 1st Signal Battalion, 1st Marine Division. On October 4, 1952, during a reconnaissance flight behind enemy lines, his aircraft was forced down by enemy anti-aircraft fire. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on October 16, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
