Captain Woolever was the pilot of an OE-1 Cessna observation aircraft with Marine Observation Squadron SIX, 1st Marine Division. On July 3, 1952, he was on a leaflet dropping mission, when his aircraft disappeared. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on December 17, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
