First Lieutenant Gorral was the co-pilot of a B-26C with the 8th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomber Wing based at Kunsan Air Base (K-8), Korea. On April 19, 1952, after takeoff on a combat mission, the aircraft crashed into the Yellow Sea one mile from shore. His remains were recovered. |
