First Lieutenant Wiseman was the pilot of a F-80 Shooting Star with the 25th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 51st Fighter-Interceptor Group. On December 20, 1950, he led a flight of 4 F-80's on low level support near Chorwon, North Korea destroying three tanks and eight buildings. Later, he was reassigned to the 15th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, 67th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing. On June 10, 1951, while on a reconnaissance mission, he sent a distress message and contact was lost. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
