First Lieutenant Wright was a crew member of a B-29A Superfortress Bomber with the 30th Bomber Squadron, 19th Bomber Wing based at Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa. On April 12, 1951, while on a bombing mission the aircraft was damaged by enemy MiGs and made a crash landing at the Suwon Airfield (K-13). He and another crew member were killed. |
