Lieutenant Seavers was a decorated veteran of World War II. During the Korean War he was a navigator with the 85th Bomber Squadron at Langley Field. On March 6, 1951, his aircraft collided with another. All three occupants of his plane bailed out over the Chesapeake Bay, but Lieutenant Seavers' parachute failed to open. |
