First Lieutenant Hull was a veteran of World War II. He was shot down while flying a P-47 "Thunderbolt" fighter and taken Prisoner of War in Germany where he developed liver disease. During the Korean War he was a member of the 138th Fighter Squadron of the New York National Guard. On January 19, 1953, he died from liver disease at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Bronx, New York. |
