Captain Gentile was a decorated veteran of World War II. He served with the 335th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 4th Fighter-Interceptor Group early during the Korean War. Later he was a test pilot at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. On January 28, 1951 his T-33 Shangri-La crashed killing him. |
