First Lieutenant Wilson was the co-pilot of a B-29 Superfortress bomber with the 3511th Training Squadron, 3511th Training Group stationed at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. On January 11, 1951 the bomber was returning to Randolph when the flight instruments failed. The plane crashed killing six of the crew members. |
