First Lieutenant Bishop was a veteran of World War II. During the Korean War, he was a member of the B-25 Light Bomber Training Squadron, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. On May 8, 1951, he was on a training flight from Wright-Patterson AFB, when the aircraft caught fire and crashed near Miamisburg, Ohio killing him. |
