First Lieutenant Lynch was a veteran of World War II. During the Korean War, he was a pilot of a F89 Scorpion jet fighter with the176th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron stationed at Truax Field, Madison, Wisconsin, an Air National Guard unit activated for the Korean War. On April 1, 1952, he was on a routine training flight when his aircraft crashed on a farm near Taylor, Illinois killing him. |
